About book by the artist
Lucille Reyboz knows Africa well. The streets of Bamako are among her earliest memories. She was fascinated from a young age by the beauty of those elegant, nonchalant women, with their dazzling waxed dresses, generous shoulders and sensual skin and faces. They express a bright, happy Africa, from the festivity of wedding days in bamako to the simple beauty of everyday.
Belles de bamako is an ode to the women of Africa.
